I recently had the privilege to attend the First Nations students’ graduation ceremony for the Maritime Deck Hand course that was held at the Australian National Maritime Museum.
Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the ‘Get Into Maritime’ program, which was developed by the King’s Trust Australia in partnership with TAFE NSW and the Sea Heritage Foundation.
I am honoured to supply the Australian Boating Manual to help support the students as they progress through this great program. Our First Nations students now have access to ‘The Boating Bible’ for use in their maritime studies.
I wish all students a bright future in the maritime industry.
What a fantastic initiative the 'Get Into Maritime' program is, developed by The King's Trust Australia in partnership with TAFE NSW and the Sea Heritage Foundation. Providing the Australian Boating Manual, or 'The Boating Bible' as you call it, is a truly valuable contribution to these students' ongoing maritime studies.
As we celebrate NAIDOC Week (National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee), it's inspiring to see programs like this empowering First Nations individuals and providing pathways to bright futures within industries like the maritime sector. Their success is a testament to their dedication and the strength of these partnerships.
Congratulations again to all the students, and we wish them continued success in their maritime careers!
Wow. Great to see our First Nations people benefiting from the King's Trust and having the Australian Boating Manual provided for their training!
This is a great initiative, and the Australian Boating Manual is the perfect reference book to help these students learning and comprehend maritime training.
